"Start II" was the most advanced construction of "Start" camera family. The autromatic exposure counter and crank of quick film advance promoted "Start II" to class of professional TLR, but the production quality wasn't good enough. "Start"s lost in comparison of "Flexaret" or "Roleiflex" and other aces in this category. Professionals never interested seriously with this camera. Therefore in next models were applied only lens and shutter of "Start II"...

„Start B” (1960 - 1967)

It was modernised "Start" (I) with "Starta II" components: new characters of the name plate, new shutter realese (button type), but without the film advance crank and automatic exposure counter.

- lenses: both Euktar, later Emitar

- minimal focusing range 80cm

- leaf shutter: 1/15 - 1/250 and B

"Start B"  as Noco flex" was offered on foreing markets, technicaly it was the same camera. For West Germany was made version named Universa Uniflex 66", I have seen only one on the US collector's web-side...

"Start 66" (1967 - 1970) , "Start 66S"  (197? - 1980 ?)

- both lenses Emitar 1:3,5/75mm

- other parameters like "Start B"

- new finder and back cover locking

- redesigned - more modern looking (several different finishing of name plates)

- "66S" had again automatic exposure counter, but film advance still by knob

There are  exemples of "Start 66" made by WZFO or PZO. In late 60s PZO step by step incorporated WZFO.
